Context

Gutarom Orders is the order-management backbone for a food-product distribution company in Moldova (pickled vegetables and preserves delivered to grocery stores across several regions), covering store ordering, warehouse processing, delivery paperwork and returnable-crate tracking.

Problem

Order intake, delivery-day logistics, returnable-crate accounting and the handoff to the company's 1C accounting system were manual and error-prone, split across phone calls, paper and spreadsheets with no shared system between stores, warehouse staff and accounting.

My role

Sole developer — architecture, backend, frontend, data migration and deployment, replacing an existing production system the company was actively running.

Approach

Rebuilt to serve two audiences from one system: a store ordering portal and a warehouse operator back-office. Returnable-crate debt is computed automatically from shipped quantities, orders route straight into the format the accounting software expects, and delivery manifests and box labels generate as PDF. Every piece of business logic was carried over and verified against the previous system before cutover, including migrating the full active dataset: 541 stores, 86 products, 292 orders and 6 drivers.

Result

Shipped and running in production for the distribution company, handling the full daily cycle from store order to warehouse processing, crate-debt reconciliation and the accounting handoff.
